I’ve been having a rough few days, but today I thought I’d just enjoy myself and grab some coffee.
I get to the drivetru at Starbucks and order the same drink I order every time I go- hot instead of iced because it’s a little chilly.
I pulled forward, getting ready to pay, but when I got to the window I was pleasantly surprised. I was informed that the woman ahead of me in the drivetru had paid for my drink.
I don’t know who she was, and I doubt she knew me…but I am absolutely thankful. She made my day and honestly her kindness was what I needed more than the coffee this morning.

That whole scene had a very unnerving tone in general, so this isn’t that far off.
welcome to night vale - 10 it’s hella gay. so gay that the first episode has the male main character fanboying over the beautiful stranger, Carlos the Scientist and his perfect hair, and it only gets gayer. plus, pretty much no heteronormativity at all, non-binary characters, and horrifying eldritch abominations! it does start slumping in the recent episodes though. really gay though.
alice isn’t dead - 9 it’s literally about a trucker searching for her missing wife. but the horror road trip monsters kinda get in the way.
the bright sessions - 9 there’s a major subplot dedicated to the gayness, plus ace and bi representation, and lots of other lgbtq+ characters.
ars paradoxica - 8 badass lesbian couple and gay boyfriends from the future but there’s less of a focus on it. the plot gets in the way of the gayness. also - aromantic representation? what? yes. good.
wolf 359 - 5 there is a canonically gay character who is implied to have been in a relationship with another male character in the past but whatever they had is definitely over now.
within the wires - 3 9 it seems really gay in the beginning but then it turns out to be sisterly love? kinda…weird. the whole series is weird.
edit: actually hella gay. I am just really bad at interpreting relationships. not sure how I missed that. thank you for pointing it out. wow.
king falls am - 2 I haven’t caught up yet so I can’t really say how gay it is but it’s not really that gay so far.
the black tapes - 0 not gay at all. 2/10 not that great of a podcast and don’t even listen to season three. meh.
